INGREDIENTS
1 cup moong dal (split yellow
gram), soaked for 4–5 hours
1 small onion, finely chopped
(optional)
1 small tomato, finely chopped
(optional)
1 green chi li, finely chopped
(optional)
Salt to taste
Water as needed
1 teaspoon oil (for cooking)
Fresh coriander leaves
STEPS
Drain the soaked moong dal and grind to a smooth, thick batter with a little water. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies, coriander, and salt. Mix well. Heat a non-stick tawa and lightly grease it with oil. Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently into a thin pancake shape. Cook on medium flame until the base turns golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until lightly browned. Serve hot with green chutney or curd.
